El presente texto tiene como principal propósito mostrar cómo entre 1845 y 1945, algunos textos escolares reprodujeron los esquemas esencialistas formalizados a mediados del siglo XIX por los partidos liberal y conservador. Desde los textos escolares se examinan las diversas maneras como la elite gobernante representó a los diversos grupos socioculturales presentes en el país en ese periodo. Ocupa un lugar importante en esta propuesta la identificación de los atributos planteados para acceder al selecto colectivo social al que estaban referidos los discursos considerados como deseables, por los gestores de este tipo de esquemas simbólicos.
This paper is intended to, show, between 1845 and 1945, as some textbooks reproduced essentialist ideas formalized in the mid-nineteenth century by the Liberal and Conservative parties. The document aims to examine from the textbooks, the various ways in which the ruling elite represent various cultural groups in Colombia during the period specified above, through the identification of the attributes set for access to exclusive social group to which were referred to the speeches considered desirable by the managers of such symbolic aspects.
