La técnica de inyección de químicos, es un método de recobro mejorado, que ayuda a recuperar entre el 10% y 20% incremental del petróleo original del yacimiento. Lo anterior, crea una oportunidad para las investigaciones técnico-financieras de métodos de recobro mejorado que se enfoquen a incrementar dicho petróleo. Por lo tanto, este plan de negocios evaluó la viabilidad financiera y operativa del servicio de análisis técnico-financiero para la implementación de la inyección de químicos, con el fin de que el Grupo de Investigación de Recobro Mejorado plantee y desarrolle más soluciones integrales a las necesidades tecnológicas de la industria de los hidrocarburos colombiana; fortaleciendo la imagen y capacidad investigativa de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Por lo tanto, se inició con un análisis del sector petrolero colombiano, con el fin de identificar los factores que afectan la industria y por consiguiente al nuevo proyecto, para luego realizar una investigación de mercados, la cual sirvió de base para el desarrollo de un análisis técnico, financiero y estratégico.
