In such a way the reduction of parameter of the interfacial tension is essential in the increase the capillary number (viscous forces/capillaries forces) and thus optimize the EOR processes. This work was carried out in the Drop Shape Analyzer DSA100HP equipmentwhere was proposed three systems n-alkane/water (two with pure fluids and one with sodium chloride) maintaining constant the pressure and gradually increase the temperaturethese results are then processed through a statistical analysis obtained values of interfacial tension for each thermal point. In this way the results achieve were three equations that are perfectly adjusted to the literature and which were validated using the comparison with other authorsfinding values of angle coefficient whose relative error percentage is entirely satisfactorysimilarly was presented a setting optimum to be matched with theoretical values extracted from numerical methods. The results of this study showed that: (1) New correlations that describe the behavior of the interfacial tension to be subjected to the temperature increase(2) more technical elements to validate the bibliographic sourcesand (3) a new methodology for the calculation of the interfacial tension using the technique of pendant drop.Interfacial Tension, N-Alkane/Water Systems, Temperatureinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
