El presente informe de investigación se llevó a cabo mediante la modalidad de pasantía en Investigación en Población Ambiente y Desarrollo, G-PAD, de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. La investigación da cuenta del trabajo realizado en el Instituto Comunitario (MINCA) SEDE C, del grado 4-02 con el objetivo de comprender las situaciones de género en el contexto de escolar en el marco del proceso de Investigación Acción Participativa (IAP) para prevenir violencias en la escuela. Para la recolección de información se realizaron técnicas como: Encuesta participativa, talleres investigativos mediante la estrategia encuentro de saberes, la observación no participante y participante, las cuales permitieron acercarse y comprender las dinámicas de comportamiento del estudiantado, así como las relacionadas con situaciones de violencias basadas en género, presentes en el contexto de convivencia escolar. Como resultado los niños y niñas pudieron relacionarse con las temáticas de convivencia escolar y las violencias basadas en género, al reflexionarlas mediante ejercicios pedagógicos basados en el diálogo, debate e intercambio de ideas, orientados por el equipo G-PAD.
