Actualmente es uno de los principales problemas que afecta la convivencia y genera situaciones que influyen en el desarrollo psico-social y académico de los estudiantes. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal develar cómo es interpretado y vivenciado el fenómeno de intimidación escolar por los niños y niñas de 4° y 5° de primaria de una institución pública de Bucaramanga, desde sus concepciones, manifestaciones, roles de los participantes y las consecuencias. Se desarrolló a partir de las experiencias o interpretaciones de los estudiantes. El contenido teórico se apoya en los múltiples aportes que los investigadores han desarrollado en torno al tema y en la construcción de las categorías y aspectos específicos de la misma. Se evidenció que existe coherencia entre las concepciones y las manifestaciones, las cuales se equiparan a la agresión física, verbal y psicológica buscando con estas acciones mostrar poder sobre los demás. Tal poder se ejerce a través de la exclusión formal por características físicas y maneras diferentes de actuar o de pensar. Los roles muestran a una víctima débil, cuya condición genera un ciclo de dominancia del victimario, el cual toma la iniciativa por sus condiciones físicas y de poder sobre los demás. A su vez, los testigos se comportan con indiferencia, miedo y en ocasiones acuden a la defensa del más débil. The main objective of this research project is to show how bullying is perceivedinterpreted and experienced by children from fourth to fifth grade in a public institution in Bucaramanga. This power is exercised through formal exclusion when pointing out at physical characteristics and different manners of acting and thinking. Role analysis shows a week victim whose condition generates a cycle of dominance by the aggressor. The last one takes advantage over the victim through the use of his physical features and power over others. At the same timethe witnesses behave with indifferencefearand sometimes in defense of the weaker participant or victim.
