dc.description.abstractEl amor juega un papel muy importante a lo largo del tiempo y a su vez ha sido tema de interés de diversos personajes a lo largo de la historia y uno de ellos es el filósofo Platón quien en su infinita sabiduría le dedica un texto a cada tema que le despertaba incertidumbre y el amor no fue una excepción para el ramillete obras cargadas de toneladas de aprendizajes que dejo este personaje, el cual lo titulo El Banquete, siendo un texto muy ameno para quien tiene la oportunidad de leerlo y descubrir con ello el verdadero significado del amor, el cual es bastante amplio tal como lo es el Amor, dado que, no es posible encasillarlo en tan solo un significado, sino que, por el contrario Platón presenta siete diversos conceptos o maneras de percibir el amor y culmina con la intervención de la más grande sabía que le enseña el arte de amar a Sócrates, el personaje principal de este encuentro, aclarándole la procedencia, maneras de actuar y finalidad del amor. Por último, es crucial tener la perspectiva de los antiguos griegos y la manera en la que ellos entendían el amor y las diversas personificaciones de Eros, para establecer un contraste entre la visión antigua y la postura Platónica.
dc.description.abstractenglishLove plays a very important role throughout time and simultaneously it’s been a topic of interest to diverse characters through history, the philosopher Plato being one of them, who in his infinite wisdom dedicated a text to each subject that aroused uncertainty in him, and love was no exception to the bundle of writings loaded with tons of learnings that this character left, resumed in his work “The Symposium”, being a pleasant text to read to whom has the opportunity to read it and among that discover the meaning of the true love, which is very wide just like love is, given that it’s not possible to typecast it in one meaning, but on the other hand Plato presents seven diverse concepts or ways of perceiving love and finishes off with the intervention of the wisest sage, which teaches the art of loving to Socrate, the main character of this encounter, clearing him up the origin, ways of beahving and purpose of love. Lastly, it’s crucial to have the perspective of the ancient geeks and the way they understood love and the several personifications of Eros, in order to establish a contrast between the old views and the Platonic stance.
