dc.description.abstractenglish | The disease called Botrytis occurs with a high incidence in the cultivation of blackberry from Castile, which is caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea, especially affecting the fruits and for that reason causing great economic losses to the growers of this exotic fruit. The objective of this work is to evaluate the antifungal activity of tea extract (Melaleuca alternifolia) and cinnamon extract (Cinnamomum verum), against Botrytis cinerea in blackberry fruits (Rubus glaucus) under agro-environmental conditions of the Bellomonte farm, in Charta-Santander. The development of the research was carried out through a randomized complete block experimental design with four treatments, an absolute control, 2 plant extracts and a commercial control; with four repetitions, each one contained 4 plants for a total of 16 experimental units, the crop where it was established was 8 years old. Based on the results obtained on the incidence presented during the time of the study and on the production obtained by each treatment; We can highlight that the plant extracts do show an antifungal activity in the control of the disease, although statistically they do not show a significant difference. These plant extracts can be taken into account in the integrated management of crop diseases, presenting themselves as a viable alternative to minimize the chemical load applied to the crop area.
