| dc.description | Colombia is currently going through an important time in its history where culture is a major part in the consolidation for peace. Considerations about the official history of Colombian conflict in art have become a main theme for analysis. For the purpose of confronting the single narrative of the conflict with other voices, it is necessary to save from obscurity the work of engaged artists who developed a reactionary language addressing the official discourse. Among them stands out Arturo Alape’s work. Alape builds up a language which gives voice to the armed conflict in Colombia. He looks at the different elements that shape the war taking into account his own experience and the voices of those who also have been involved. | en-US |
| dc.description | La cultura es un elemento esencial en la consolidación de la paz, de allí que la reflexión sobre la historia oficial del conflicto desde las artes devenga en tema de análisis. Para poder confrontar la historia única con otras voces resulta necesario rescatar del olvido el trabajo de los artistas comprometidos con la elaboración de un lenguaje reaccionario frente al discurso oficial. Entre esas voces se destaca la obra de Arturo Alape, quien desarrolla un lenguaje propio que da voz al conflicto armado colombiano al examinar los múltiples elementos que configuran la guerra a partir de la memoria propia y de la elaboración de los relatos de aquellos que han estado involucrados en él. | es-ES |
