The present article analyzes the constitution of the social memory of the peasantry, from a socio - spatial perspective. Here the struggles for land that the peasants of the department of Sucre waged in the second half of the twentieth century are read from what could be termed a geo-graph of memory. For this purpose, the document presents at first the articulation of the categories memory and space as analytical possibilities in the understanding of the past. In a second moment these categories are put in discussion in order to identify the ways in which the memory has been spatialized, in this respect the individual and collective experience of the peasantry is traced from three coordinates: i) the personal trajectory, ii) The struggle for land and iii) the place of repression. Finally, it is exposed as the space understood from its territorial or place meaning, not only to identify, to delimit and to locate memories in a shared cartography, but also geo-graphical the content of the stories, in an exercise that could hardly be done by Outside a space-time frame.
