dc.descriptionThis article reflects on the concept of the film-essay and its substantial relationship with the theory of the essay-literary. In addition, based on the analysis of the film Block-notes di un regista (1969), the main essayistic characteristics in the filmography of the Italian director Federico Fellini are highlighted, namely, the presence of the director-subjective, the relationships between films, the selection of characters and the surrealist component. Based on this, the objective is to make a contribution to the essayistic phenomenon in cinema, starting from an example, and to highlight the importance of this in the development of films with an important presence of the author's subjectivity.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este artículo se reflexiona acerca del concepto de ensayo cinematográfico y su relación sustancial con la teoría del ensayo literario. Además, a partir del análisis del filme Block-notes di un regista (1969), se destacan las principales características ensayísticas en la filmografía del director italiano Federico Fellini, a saber, la presencia del director-subjetivo, las relaciones entre filmes, la selección de personajes y el componente surrealista. Con base en esto, el objetivo es realizar un aporte al estudio del fenómeno ensayístico en el cine, a partir de un ejemplo, y destacar la importancia de este en el desarrollo de filmes con una importante presencia de la subjetividad del autor.es-ES
