| dc.description | The Zapatista doll comes to life shortly after the emergence of the Zapatista movement. In this sense, we ask ourselves why does it arise? And how is this tradition maintained? In order to answer these questions, it is necessary to know that there are certain events that serve as time markers, and these permeate the consciousness of certain social groups, which in turn are part of the collective memory of the same people that generate them. To understand this aspect theoretically, we refer to Maurice Halbwach, who proposes the concept; This, together with the fieldwork done with the artisans of San Juan Chamula, will help us understand how in a handcrafted doll we can appreciate a particular historical moment (the Zapatista uprising), and the way in which these artisans maintain the memory of this people regarding this event. | en-US |
| dc.description | La muñeca zapatista cobra vida al poco tiempo del surgimiento del movimiento zapatista. En este sentido, nos preguntamos ¿por qué surge? y ¿cómo se mantiene esta tradición? Para poder responder estas preguntas, es necesario saber que hay ciertos acontecimientos que sirven como marcadores de tiempo, y estos permean en la conciencia de ciertos grupos sociales que, a su vez, forman parte de la memoria colectiva del mismo pueblo que los genera. Para entender de manera teórica este aspecto, nos remitimos a Maurice Halbwach, quien propone el concepto; esto, junto con el trabajo de campo hecho con las artesanas de San Juan Chamula, nos ayudará a entender cómo en una muñeca de confección artesanal podemos apreciar un momento histórico en particular (el levantamiento zapatista), y la manera en que estas artesanas mantienen la memoria de este pueblo respecto a este acontecimiento. | es-ES |
