dc.description.abstract	En la presente investigación se propuso un estudio de prefactibilidad para la creación de un hotel en el municipio de Barrancabermeja con el fin de suplir las necesidades de los huéspedes incursionando en el mercado con precios competitivos. Durante el estudio se identificó inconformidad en el servicio prestado y en los altos precios que maneja el municipio y se determinó que la mayoría de turistas ingresan a la ciudad por motivo de trabajo especialmente ligados a las petroleras y contratistas del sector lo que permite reducir servicios como zonas húmedas y de acondicionamiento físico con el fin de competir en precios. Por medio de un estudio técnico se determinaron los recursos necesarios para llevar a cabo el proyecto además de la distribución del nuevo hotel. Se estableció una organización administrativa y legal definiendo los procedimientos de constitución y organización. Finalmente el estudio financiero indica que el proyecto es viable para los inversionistas donde se manejaría un precio competitivo de $47 292 con una utilidad del 40%, lo que lo hace atractivo para los clientes que manifestaron inconformidad en las elevadas tarifas hoteleras. Se determinó un punto de equilibrio de 2950 servicios al año el cual es alcanzable y supera en 6 885 servicios al proyectado. De igual forma, se obtuvo un VPN positivo y una tasa interna de retorno del 60,40%.
dc.description.abstractenglish	In this research a prefeasibility study for the creation of a hotel in the town of Barrancabermeja in order to meet the needs of guests entering the market with competitive prices proposed. During the study nonconformity was identified in the service provided and the high prices that manages the city and found that most tourists enter the city for work purposes, especially linked to the oil industry and contractors thereby reducing services as moist and fitness areas to compete on price. Through a technical study determined the resources needed to carry out the project in addition to the distribution of the new hotel. Administrative and legal organization was established constitution defining procedures and organization. Finally the financial study indicates that the project is viable for investors where a competitive price $ 47,292 with a profit of 40% would be handled, making it attractive to customers who expressed dissatisfaction at the high hotel rates. A balance of 2950 service year which is attainable was determined and exceeds the projected 6885 services. Similarly, a positive NPV and IRR of 60.40% was obtained. Viable project for its realization is considered in Barrancabermeja hoping to satisfy the needs of customers and the general public who is resident or comes to town.
