They are plants belonging to the orchid family, distinguished by its fragrant and beautiful flowers, important in the florist industry. Secondary metabolites of orchid flowers were studied, using micro-solid phase extraction in headspace (HS-SPME), promising technique for volatile analyzing . It performed in vitro, cutting orchid flowers and analyzing them, and in vivo, without cutting flower, to have a realistic approach to the emission of volatile by orchids. The secondary metabolites found in the C.mendelii, by HS-SPME, monitored in vitro and in vivo, belong to the family of monoterpene compounds, sesquiterpene, benzenoids and aliphatic compounds. The volatile metabolites of C.trianae, by HS-SPME, found in the monitoring in vitro, belong to the family of sesquiterpene, benzenoids and aliphatic compounds. And the metabolites found by HS-SPME, in vivo, were of the families of the monoterpene hydrocarbons, sesquiterpene and benzenoids. | |
