| dc.description | The present work seeks to carry out a critical reading of populism as a topic and concept, taking as reference the “populist reason” of Ernesto Laclau and his horizon of post-structuralist analysis, for it is repaired in the Colombian political experience, specifically in the figure of Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, a mass phenomenon, a charismatic and mythologized character that, in this case, serves as a pretext to demonstrate the indeterminacy that continues to govern the populism category and, in passing, allows to manifest certain limitations of the postmodern notional apparatus , whose discursive orientation has projected the populist question through a relativist prism, taking it to be an explanatory wildcard of political initiatives characterized by demagoguery and the antagonism-equivalence dichotomy. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente trabajo busca llevar a cabo una lectura crítica del populismo como tópico y concepto, tomando como referencia la “razón populista” de Ernesto Laclau y su horizonte de análisis post-estructuralista. Para ello se repara en la experiencia política colombiana, específicamente en la figura de Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, un fenómeno de masas, un personaje carismático y mitificado que, en este caso, sirve de pretexto para evidenciar la indeterminación que continúa gobernando a la categoría populismo y, de paso, permite hacer manifiestas ciertas limitaciones del aparato nocional postmoderno, cuya orientación discursiva ha proyectado la cuestión populista a través de un prisma relativista, llevándola a ser un comodín explicativo de iniciativas políticas caracterizadas por la demagogia y la dicotomía antagonismo-equivalencia. | es-ES |
