| dc.description | This research studies the export determinants for manufacturing SMEs in the regional context of the department of Santander, Colombia in 2018. For this purpose, a descriptive analysis of each of the evaluated determinants is prepared, on which it is carried out a logistic regression model. Data from the Annual Manufacturing Survey (EAM) prepared by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) are used. The results reveal as determinants of the orientation to export: the size of the firms and the skilled labor force. Finally, it is suggested to promote the training of human capital in companies, stimulate credit for the expansion of the firms and project the diversification of the exporting subsectors. | en-US |
| dc.description | La presente investigación estudia los determinantes de exportación para las Pymes manufactureras en el contexto regional del departamento de Santander, Colombia, en el año 2018. Para tal objetivo, se elabora un análisis descriptivo de cada uno de los determinantes evaluados, sobre los cuales se realiza un modelo de regresión logística. Se emplean datos provenientes de la Encuesta Anual Manufacturera (EAM) elaborada por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE). Los resultados revelan como determinantes de la orientación a exportar: el tamaño de las firmas y la mano de obra calificada. Finalmente, se sugiere fomentar e impulsar la capacitación de capital humano en las empresas, promover el crédito para expansión de las firmas y proyectar la diversificación de los subsectores exportadores. | es-ES |
