El Cicloactivismo es un fenómeno social poco estudiado, que ha ido en aumento en varias ciudades del mundo. Con el objetivo de realizar una caracterización del mismo en Bogotá D.C., se ejecutó un estudio cualitativo-interpretativo de corte etnometodológico a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas siguiendo el modelo CAP, aplicadas a integrantes de cuatro grupos de tipo académico formal, ambientalista, feminista y LGBTIQ+, ubicados primordialmente en la ciudad. Se encontraron variopintos colectivos sociales, integrados principalmente por jóvenes que utilizan la bicicleta como un instrumento de movilidad, pero también de movilización, resistencia y participación ciudadana, que tienen la intención de pensar y hacer uso de esta herramienta más allá de su función básica como medio de transporte. Aparecen discursos frente a la defensa de la bicicleta por sus características económicas y ecológicas, como una alternativa viable de transporte para Bogotá y el planeta, que permite realizar actividad física, ayudar al medio ambiente y a la salud pública, y de paso, aglomerar intereses comunes, constituyéndose en símbolo identitario y de reclamación de derechos que entran en tensión con ciertas prácticas sociales y políticas públicas.
The activism cycle social phenomenon it’s not a common factor to study, but it has been increasing in different cultures and countries around the world. For example in Bogotá where the main goal is to create a distinction about this important topic. New ethnomethodological article research in Bogotá has been determined through different semi-structured interviews following the CAP model to 4 academic groups as such feminists, environmentalists, and LGBTIQ+ primarily located in Bogotá city. It has been found motley social collectives that their conveyance are mostly bicycles as a tool of transportation, but also a mobility, resilience, citizens collaboration that has the intention to use this tool as a transport system. There are some speeches, and research supporting economic characteristics about ecologic bicycles as viable alternative transportation for a city like Bogotá, also for the rest of the world, not only because it’s healthy but it’s because it helps the environment, agglomerate common interests, becoming a symbol of identity and claiming of rights that come into tension with certain social practices and public policies.
