dc.description.abstract	Debido a la preocupación ambiental por la cual atraviesan los habitantes de los municipios de Encino, Coromoro, Charalá, Ocamonte, Páramo y Valle de San José; la CORPORACIÓN AUTÓNOMA REGIONAL DE SANTANDER -CAS y la CORPORACIÓN DE TECNOLOGIAS AMBIENTALES SOSTENIBLES - CTAS en convenio, plantearon un estudio para determinar eldeterioro hídrico del río Fonce, fuente receptora de los vertimientos producidos por las industrias de la región (Ganadería, trapiches, porcícolas, avícolas, beneficiaderos de café y plantas de sacrificio) siendo este río el más afectado en la zona. Para determinar lacontaminación de la cuenca del Fonce, se realizaron diferentes salidas de campo donde se recolectó información para establecer parámetros fisicoquímicos comprensibles y caracterizar analíticamente las fuentes. La toma de muestras in situ se llevó a cabo con ayuda de Kits de Merck para su análisis en puntos representativos. El análisis se complementó con la aplicación de técnicas especializadas a nivel de laboratoriogracias a la colaboración de PSL PROANALISIS LTDA. Con esta investigación se determinó la calidad y los factores de contaminación de las aguas que se están vertiendo al Rio Fonce y se compararon dichos resultados con la normatividad exigida en Colombia en cuanto al uso y disposición de aguas, verificando el cumplimiento de los requisitos legales en mención. En el monitoreo se observó que el recurso hídrico se encuentra alterado en sus condiciones, razón por la cual éste no es recomendable para consumo en general.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Due to the environmental concerns faced by the residents of the towns of Encino, Coromoro, Charala, Ocamonte, Paramo y San José Valley, the Regional Autonomous Corporation ofSantander CAS in agreement with the Sustainable Enviromental Technologies Corporation CTAS, proposed an investigation to determine the water deterioration of the Fonce River, that source receives the discharges produced by the industries from the region (Livestock (Cows, Pigs, chickens), panela production, coffe plantations and slaughterhouses) being the most affected river in the area. To determine the degree of contamination of the Fonce River, there were several field trips to gathered information to establish understandable physicochemical parameters and analytically characterize the sources. The in situ sampling was made using Merck kits for analysis at representative points. The analysis was complemented by the application of laboratory specialized techniques with the cooperation of PSL PROANALISIS LTDA. Thisresearchdetermined thequalityand the toxicity factors of the water being spilled into theFonce Riverandcomparedthoseresultswith the existing regulations inColombia about the useanddisposalof wastewater, verifying compliance with legal requirements in mention.
