| dc.description | The purpose of this paper is to understand the power relations inside the indigenous communities that settle around the Quilotoa Lagoon, in the Ecuador’s province, Cotopaxi, through the “Myth of Quilotoa Lagoon Origins”, for this, direct participation with communities has been established, in order to collect the existing oral memory of the story. In this sense, it’s evident the reproduction of cultural patterns established with the appearance of estates, as well as the power of the story as an against-hegemonic ideology. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente trabajo pretende comprender las relaciones de poder dentro de las comunidades indígenas que se asientan alrededor de la laguna del Quilotoa, en la provincia de Cotopaxi, Ecuador, a través del “Mito de origen de la Laguna del Quilotoa”. Para ello se ha establecido participación directa con las comunidades, con el fin de recolectar la memoria oral existente sobre dicho relato. En este sentido, se pone en evidencia la reproducción de patrones culturales instaurados con la aparición de las haciendas, así como la potencia del relato como ideología contrahegemónica. | es-ES |
