| dc.description | This article aims to explore the traces and forms of representation of a traumatic past through the intergenerational stories of indigenous women. For this purpose, a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach compiled a corpus of semi-structured interviews with women of the Yaqui tribe, whose purpose was focused on rescuing the memories transmitted by their ancestors about the genocidal practices perpetrated during the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz in the first decade of the 20th century and the subsequent post-revolutionary years. In several months of fieldwork carried out in the Yaqui towns, located in northwestern Mexico, narratives of Yaqui women were recovered that had remained invisible in historiography and those postmemories recounted only in the family space from one generation to the next, revealed unprecedented textures of the forced expulsion of Yaqui families from their ancestral territory, details of the brutality of State violence, silenced perceptions about slavery in haciendas in southern Mexico, the pain of deportation, the return and reinstatement to their communities, in addition to the struggle to preserve their political autonomy and identity. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es explorar las huellas y formas de representación de un pasado traumático a través de los relatos intergeneracionales de mujeres indígenas. Para ello, se expondrán los resultados de una investigación cualitativa con enfoque etnográfico, en la cual se integró un corpus con entrevistas semiestructuradas a mujeres de la tribu yaqui, cuya finalidad se centró en rescatar las memorias trasmitidas por sus ancestros sobre las prácticas genocidas perpetradas durante la dictadura de Porfirio Díaz en la primera década del siglo XX y los años posrevolucionarios subsiguientes. Al cabo del trabajo de campo realizado en los pueblos yaquis, ubicados en el noroeste de México, se recuperaron narrativas de mujeres yaquis que habían permanecido invisibilizadas en la historiografía y esas posmemorias contadas solo en el espacio familiar de una generación a la siguiente, revelaron texturas inéditas de la expulsión forzada de familias yaquis de su territorio ancestral, detalles de la brutalidad de la violencia de Estado, percepciones silenciadas sobre la esclavitud en haciendas del sur de México, el dolor de la deportación, del regreso y la reintegración a sus comunidades, además de la lucha por preservar su autonomía política e identidad. | es-ES |
