| dc.description | En el año 1961 se inició un proceso de toma de tierras que dio origen a uno de los barrios que es conocido como bastión del comunismo en Bogotá. Dicho proceso que se enmarcó en la lucha producto de la violencia partidista de los años 50 y que se asentó en los terrenos de lo que hoy se conoce como el barrio Policarpa, tuvo elementos políticos interesantes que conllevó a la creación del colegio Jaime Pardo Leal por parte de la misma comunidad; fue esta quien decide hacer un colegio para sus hijos.
