| dc.description | In 1974, inside the CUEC classrooms, the October Film Worshop emerged; a group that advocated the making of explicitly political films with the intention of provoking the mobilization of their recipients. These were discourses influenced by international trends, among which those belonging to the New Latin American Cinema stood out. However, the group was not solely due to the impact that the referred film movement had on its members, nor did it arise overnight; rather, it was largely the result of the maturation of the ideas projected by the young people who constituted it, which are understood only in the light of their previous experiences. Thus, from oral history interviews, the trajectories of six members of the organization are studied, locating the convergences and divergences between them and highlighting the aspects that are considered of greater importance to understand the emergence of the October Film Worshop. A group that from the audiovisual medium privileged the political issue to aesthetics to contribute to the transformation of the Mexico of the seventies. | en-US |
| dc.description | En 1974, al interior de las aulas del CUEC, surgió el Taller de Cine Octubre; un grupo que se avocó a la realización de películas explícitamente políticas con la intención de provocar la movilización de sus receptores. Se trataba de discursos influenciados por tendencias internacionales, entre las cuales destacaban las pertenecientes al Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano. Sin embargo, el Taller no se debió únicamente al impacto que en sus integrantes tuvo el movimiento cinematográfico referido, ni surgió de la noche a la mañana; sino que en gran medida fue el resultado de la maduración de las ideas proyectadas por los jóvenes que lo constituyeron, las cuales se entienden únicamente a la luz de sus experiencias previas. De tal manera, a partir de entrevistas de historia oral, se estudian las trayectorias de seis integrantes de la organización, situando las convergencias y divergencias entre ellos y resaltando los aspectos que se consideran de mayor importancia para comprender la emergencia del Taller de Cine Octubre, una agrupación que desde el medio audiovisual privilegió la cuestión política a la estética para contribuir a la transformación del México de los setenta. | es-ES |
