| dc.description | RESUMEN ANALÍTICOLos desastres naturales son eventos de gran magnitud y de gran impacto negativo en la sociedad y en el medio ambiente. En particular, Uruguay se ve afectado por inundaciones, sequías, granizadas y vientos de más de 100 kilometros por hora. La disciplina de Gestión de Riesgos se ocupa del manejo de los riesgos de desastres. Para una Gestión de Riesgos adecuada y que permita una Toma de Decisiones eficiente y efectiva es necesario contar con un Sistema de Información. En este artículo se presenta una propuesta de diseño de un Sistema de Información para la Gestión de Riesgos y Toma de Decisiones en el caso de desastres naturales en Uruguay.PALABRAS CLAVES: Desastres, Gestión de Riesgos, Sistemas de Información ANALYTICAL SUMMARYDisasters are events of huge magnitude and negative impact on society and on the environment. In particular, in Uruguay there are floods, droughts, hailstorms and strong winds of over a hundred kilometers per hour. Disaster Management is the discipline that deals with the risks of disasters. An Information System that aids in the decision process effectively and efficiently is required to achieve an adequate Disaster Management policy.
