dc.description.abstract	La presente monografía es el resultado del estudio realizado por los autores, quienes hacen parte del programa académico Especialización en Telecomunicaciones de la Escuela Eléctrica y Electrónica de la Universidad industrial de Santander. El trabajo desarrollado hace referencia a, las tendencias, generalidades, estándares, nivel de conocimiento, funcionalidad de un sistema IPTV, protocolos empleados y QoS, tecnologías en redes, elementos de un sistema IPTV, herramientas que hicieron posible la tecnología IPTV, características más importantes del Internet Protocol Televisión y su aplicabilidad en la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Se denota que la televisión ip se encuentra en la misma etapa que la telefonía móvil a mediados de los años 90 Con lo anterior, se realizó una etapa de análisis en la cual se encuentra una encuesta que se mide el nivel de conocimiento de las personas sobre iptv, tendiente a encontrar las tendencias, la infraestructura y estándares más apropiados que permita la implementación de la IPTV. y de esta forma observar que la IPTV se ha convertido en la denominación más común para los sistemas de distribución y/o video usando conexiones de banda ancha sobre la misma infraestructura de redes actuales. Finalmente, se recopilo la información obtenida a lo largo del trabajo y se compilo en un documento que expresa todo el conocimiento y el fundamento con que se desarrollo el estudio sobre las tendencias de la IPTV en el municipio de Bucaramanga.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This monograph is the result of the study made by the authors who are part of the Academic Program called Specialization in Telecommunications of Electrical and Electronics School at Industrial University of Santander. The work refers to trends, generalities, standards, level of knowledge, performance of an IPTV system, protocols used and QoS, networking technologies, elements of an IPTV system, tools that made possible the IPTV technology, key features of Internet Protocol Television and its applicability in the city of Bucaramanga. There is denoted that the television ip is in the same stage that the mobile telephony in the middle of the 90s. With this, we made a stage of analysis which has on it a survey that measured the level of people´s awareness about iptv, that lets find the most appropriate infrastructure and standards that enables the implementation of the IPTV and of this form to observe that the IPTV has turned into the most common denomination for the systems of distribution and / or video using connections of broad band on the same infrastructure of current networks .Finally, we collected the information obtained during the work and compiled into a document that expresses all the knowledge and the foundation that was used to develop the study about IPTV trends in the city of Bucaramanga ---------------------------------------
