| dc.description | RESUMEN El Autor analiza las condiciones actuales del ejercicio de la profesión médica en Colombia y destaca la contradicción esencial entre la práctica humanista de la Medicina basada en los principios de la Ética -ante todo el Principio de Beneficencia, y la práctica de la Medicina como un negocio, como un medio para obtener el lucro del capital y favorecer los intereses de los intermediarios de la prestación del servicio. El Autor comenta las Declaraciones y Pronunciamientos de la Academia Nacional de Medicina de Colombia y de otras instituciones médicas en las que se denuncian los errores del sistema y se proponen soluciones para corregirlos. ABSTRACT The Author analyzes the current conditions of the exercise of the medical profession in Colombia and it highlights the essential contradiction among the humanistic practice of the Medicine based on the principles of the Ethics - above all the charity principle-and the practice of the medicine like a business, as a means to obtain the lucre of the capital and to favor the middlemen of the service The Author comments the Declarations and Pronouncements of the National Academy of Medicine and other Colombian medical institutions that it has pointed out the flaws of the system and they have proposed solutions to correct them.
