| dc.description | En este estudio se estimó la profundidad de la isoterma de Curie con base en el análisis espectral de los datos de anomalía geomagnética de una parte de la zona de infuencia del volcán Azufral, cubriendo un área de aproximadamente 450 km2. La profundidad obtenida mostró un rango entre 2,3 y 14,2 km con un promedio de 3,7 km. A partir de las profundidades se estimó el gradiente geotérmico y el fujo de calor de la zona estudiada, obteniéndose valores promedio de 157 °C/km y de 204 mW/m2, respectivamente. Los resultados indican que la isoterma no es una superfcie horizontal y que existe una relación inversa entre la profundidad de la isoterma de Curie y los valores de gradiente geotérmico y de fujo de calor. En la zona no se han realizado mediciones directas de gradiente geotérmico, por lo que estos datos se constituyen en un aporte a la exploración de recursos geotérmicos en la zona de infuencia del volcán Azufral. | es-ES |
| dc.description | In this study the depth of the Curie isotherm was estimated, based on the spectral analysis of geomagnetic anomaly data from one part of the Azufral volcano infuence zone, covering an area of about 450 km2. The obtained depth showed a range between 2.3 and 14.2 km with an average of 3.7 km. Based on the obtained depths, the geothermal gradient and the heat fow of the study area were estimated, with an average of 157 °C/km and 204 mW/m2, respectively. The results indicate that the isotherm is not a horizontal surface and there is an inverse relationship between the depth of the Curie isotherm and the values of geothermal gradient and heat fow. There are not direct measurements of geothermal gradient in the area, so these data constitute a contribution to the geothermal resources exploration in the Azufral volcano infuence zone. | en-US |
