dc.description.abstract	La generación de residuos se presenta en todas las actividades humanas y a nivel mundial se ha tornado en un tema de interés general dado el crecimiento industrial y los cambios en los hábitos de consumo. En Colombia, este fenómeno se manifiesta con el agravante de no contar con la información, educación y tecnologías apropiadas para el correcto manejo de los mismos. El Gobierno viene canalizando y orientando políticas y guías para dar solución al manejo de residuos de diversos sectores, la divulgación a empresas manufactureras y prestadoras de servicios se ha dado para fortalecer y enseñar al generador de residuos como elaborar un plan de manejo integral de residuos, invitando y buscando siempre el máximo aprovechamiento de estos. Siguiendo la metodología planteada por el Ministerio de Ambiente, Vivienda y Desarrollo Territorial; en este trabajo se propone un plan de gestión integral de los residuos sólidos generados en una empresa productora de fertilizantes derivados del ácido nítrico y el ácido fosfórico, buscando dar el más óptimo manejo a los residuos, mediante: la minimización en la generación de residuos peligrosos y no peligrosos, maximización en el aprovechamiento de residuos (reutilización, reciclaje, aprovechamiento calórico, compostaje, etc.) y el mejor tratamiento o disposición final de aquellos residuos no aprovechables. En el primer y segundo capítulo, se muestra un marco de referencia, un diagnóstico del manejo actual de los residuos en la empresa, y se hacen las respectivas sugerencias de mejora. En los siguientes capítulos se enseña al lector el adecuado manejo interno y externo de los residuos, así como el seguimiento y control a la gestión del plan sugerido.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Waste generation is present in all human activities and global level has become a topic of general interest as industrial growth and changes in consumption habits. In Colombia, this phenomenon is aggravated by the fact of not having information, education and appropriate technologies for the proper handling of them. The Government has been directing policies and guides for giving solution to the managing of waste in the diverse sectors. The spreading of this information to the manufacturing companies and the ones which offer services has been useful to strengthen and to teach to the generators of residues how to elaborate a plan of integral managing of those ones, inviting and looking for the maximum utilization of them. Taking into account the methodology stated by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development, a plan of integral management of the solid waste generated in a producing company of fertilizers derived from the nitric acid and the phosphoric acid is proposed in this study. The objective of this proposal is to give the most ideal managing to the waste by means of the minimization in the generation of dangerous and not dangerous waste, maximization in the utilization of waste (reutilization, recycling, caloric utilization, compost, etc) and the best treatment or final disposition of those not usable waste. In the first and second chapters, a frame of reference is mentioned and a diagnosis of the current managing of the waste in the company as well. Besides, some suggestions of improvement are done. In the next chapters, an appropriate internal and external managing of the waste is depicted as well as the monitoring and control to the management of the suggested plan as well.
