El siguiente trabajo pretende dar una visión de la crisis actual de la historia desde el quehacer del historiador. Lo hemos estructurado en torno a dos ideas: la primera tiene que ver con la crisis de la historia en los términos estrictamente científicos, es decir, los cuestionamientos que le reprochan a la historia su incapacidad de producir conocimiento científico; en este sentido nos interesa analizar la ética científica que se ha venido configurando alrededor del quehacer del historiador. La segunda idea se refiere a la crisis social de la historia, es decir, a los distanciamientos o ideas incorrectas que la sociedad tiene sobre la pertinencia del conocimiento histórico; en este asunto nos detendremos en la participación social del historiador, no solo como científico social, sino además como sujeto que pertenece a una comunidad en general. Así, desde una crítica a la ética científica y a la ética social, por denominar de alguna manera la actividad integral del historiador, pretendemos llegar a cierta síntesis que nos permita entrever cómo llevar a cabo un quehacer historiográfico que contribuya de algún modo a la resolución de las problemáticas sociales de hoy.

Thus, from a critique of scientific ethics and social ethics, for somehow called integral activity of the historian, we intend to reach some synthesis that allows us to glimpse how to perform a task historiographical somehow contribute to the resolution of social problems of today.
