El presente artículo es una reflexión sobre los alcances epistemológicos y teóricos de la didáctica como disciplina científica; esgrime una ruta metodológica deductiva, desarrollada en tres momentos. Presenta la discusión del origen de la didáctica como disciplina científica asociada a las ciencias de la educación; aborda la reflexión sobre las didácticas específicas, en especial las relacionadas con las ciencias sociales y expone preliminarmente como se ha configurado el campo de la didáctica de las ciencias sociales en Colombia, teniendo como referencia los lineamientos curriculares del área, donde se determinó que la enseñanza de las ciencias sociales debía ser abordada desde un punto de vista integral orientado hacia la formación en competencias útiles para el mercado laboral.
This article is a reflection on the epistemological and theoretical scope of didactics as a scientific discipline; wields a deductive methodological route, developed in three moments. Presents the discussion of the origin of didactics as a scientific discipline associated with educational sciences; addresses reflection on specific didactics, especially those related to the social sciences and preliminarily exposes how the field of social science didactics has been configured in Colombia, having as reference the Curricular Guidelines of the area, where it was determined that the teaching of social sciences, It had to be approached from a comprehensive point of view oriented towards training in useful skills for the labor market.
