| dc.description | The aim of this paper is to study the ways of narrating political violence and silence in Chilean and Colombian picture-books. With the help of two examples, Tengo miedo (2012) by Ivar da Coll and Canto para mañana (2013) by Calú López, I will analyze the different ways of representing the instances and actors of violence in order to subsequently define how and in what context silence about violence is situated. The results show that the picture-book, on the one hand, allows children to reflect on ethical dilemmas and complex social realities thanks to the dialogue between textual and visual language and, on the other hand, establishes the basis for them to actively participate in the reconstruction of historical realities and in the understanding and re-signification of violence and silence. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar las maneras de narrar la violencia política y el silencio en dos libros-álbum chileno y colombiano. Con la ayuda de dos ejemplos, Tengo miedo (2012) de Ivar da Coll y Canto para mañana (2013) de Calú López, analizaré las distintas formas de representar las instancias y los actores de la violencia, para posteriormente definir cómo y en qué contexto se sitúa el silencio sobre la violencia. Los resultados muestran que el libro-álbum, por un lado, permite a los niños reflexionar acerca de dilemas éticos y realidades sociales complejas gracias al diálogo entre el lenguaje textual y el lenguaje visual y, por otro lado, establece las bases para que participen activamente en la reconstrucción de realidades históricas y en la comprensión y resignificación de la violencia y el silencio. | es-ES |
