dc.description.abstract	La legislación ambiental colombiana sobre los niveles permisibles para emisiones de ruido y niveles máximos de ruido en zonas residenciales ha seguido la tendencia de la normatividad internacional que busca proteger de los efectos indeseables del ruido en el cuerpo humano y permitir horas de descanso de calidad. Las quejas sobre los niveles molestos de ruido presentadas por habitantes en grandes ciudades no es infrecuente y pueden llegar a instancias judiciales para proteger su derecho a un medio ambiente saludable. dc.description.abstractenglish	Maximums noise level in residential places allowable by the Colombian environmental legislation fallow international trends to protect human body from side effects of noise and permit quality of the rest. Complains of big cities residents about noise level are often and sometimes reach legal system to protect theirs healthy environment rights. Residential areas are the most conservative environmental noise level allowed although its measurements take place in front of the building, but not inside where some support machines as generator or electro pumps were placed neither vibration or noise emission control and considerations while the flat block was built. The perception of noise characteristics does not ensure the regulations are being met on emissions, it is important to get measurements before the administration of common areas to the satisfaction of part of the builder and avoid further disagreements of residents and / or pay adjustments locative. The next paper shows a field under the application of current regulations for a case of noise pollution in buildings by analyzing electric noise located on the first floors of a residential complex in the city of Bogota, in order to have decision-maker against the potential impact that the noise generated to the community. This project carried out a comprehensive assessment of the noise level emission of electro pumps needed to know if noise control means are required to fulfil current normative.
