LA ASIGNATURA PENDIENTE EN LA INVESTIGACIÓN PARA LA PAZ RESUMEN El presente artículo es una revisión de la perspectiva de género en la Investigación para la paz y de las conceptualizaciones que de esta se han hecho después de su reciente aparición de esta última en los años 80. Encontraremos aquí planteados algunos de los resultados hallados en el marco de la construcción de un estado del arte en torno al tema del Género y la Paz, como primer paso hacia la construcción de comprensiones pertinentes y articuladas de los problemas sociales. En este contexto, la paz es una preocupación constante y el género en la mayoría de los casos una categoría olvidada en el análisis. La construcción de este estado del arte permitió analizar la situación de la Investigación para la Paz y la inclusión de la categoría género en ella. Igualmente, el análisis de la relación entre paz, género y Trabajo Social nos da la posibilidad de reflexionar en torno al papel del profesional, en la necesidad y la capacidad de construir conocimiento en escenarios alternativos. Palabras clave: investigación para la paz, género, masculinidades, feminidades, paz. GENDER PERSPECTIVE AND PACEFUL RELATIONS BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN. PENDING SUBJETC ON PEACE RESEARCH ABSTRACT This article is a review of Peace as a research topic and of the conceptualization that it has received during the last 20 years from the different scientific perspectives, taking into account the contributions that have been introduced into its analysis through the perspective of gender. We consider here some of the results found in the frame of constructing the question of Gender and Peace and their mutual influence. They are orientated towards the construction of pertinent and articulated comprehensions of social problems where peace is a constant concern and gender is in most cases a forgotten category within the analysis. The construction of this state of the question allowed us to analyze the status of Peace Research and the incorporation of Gender as a category in it, and also the possibility of thinking about the role of the Social Worker in the need that both the profession and its professionals have to build knowledge in alternative scenarios where a long walk is starting for some professionals.
