| dc.description | We give an account of the Popular Carnival for Life of the Britalia neighborhood that has been going on for more than thirty years, with emancipating political objectives described as cultural resistance, which is the result of collective action, and fundamentally popular education. There is a historical tour with testimonies of some of the protagonists of the origin and development of the Popular Carnival for the Life of Britalia, in the town of Kennedy, in Bogota, passing through three moments, the origin of the neighborhood, the constitution and consolidation of the territory, the neighborhood struggles, the fight against Gibraltar and the Carnival as an expression of Cultural Resistance. | en-US |
| dc.description | Damos cuenta del Carnaval Popular por la Vida del barrio Britalia que se desarrolla hace más de treinta años, con objetivos políticos emancipadores descritos como resistencia cultural, que es el resultado de la acción colectiva, y fundamentalmente la educación popular. Se hace un recorrido histórico con testimonios de algunos de los protagonistas del origen y desarrollo del Carnaval Popular por la Vida de Britalia, en la localidad de Kennedy, en Bogotá, pasando por tres momentos: el origen del barrio, la constitución y consolidación del territorio, las luchas barriales, la lucha contra Gibraltar y el Carnaval como expresión de Resistencia Cultural. | es-ES |
