El siguiente artículo busca reconstruir a la ciudad de Quito desde la última producción fílmica del país. Esa reconstrucción se la hace desde una lectura sociológica de las imágenes y las hablas sociales que se entretejen en las cintas de ficción ecuatoriana que refieren a la ciudad de Quito. Se pone especial interés en mirar a la ciudad como escenario de varios tipos de conflicto social, y en cómo estos otorgan sentido a la misma conformación de la urbe y su urbanidad.
The following article seeks to rebuild the city of Quito since the last film production in the country. This reconstruction is done from a sociological reading of the images and social talks that are interwoven in the tapes of Ecuadorian fiction that refer to the city of Quito. There is a special interest in looking at the city as the scene of various types of social conflict, and how they give meaning to shape the city and its urbanity.
