dc.descriptionRESUMEN Historiar, qué ha sido la Salud Pública en Santander, requiere analizar las dinámicas curativas y preventivas impulsadas desde antes del siglo XIX por las instituciones estatales, las organizaciones socioeconómicas y las asociaciones filantrópicas, locales y departamentales, que durante más de doscientos años estuvieron a cargo de problemas higiénicos y sociales como la lepra a través de hospitales de caridad conocidos como "lazaretos". Palabras Clave: Lepra, lazaretos, discapacidad, minusvalía ABSTRACT To history what has been the public health in Santander require to analize the preventive and curative dynamics prompted before of the century XIXth for the state institutions, the socioeconomic organizations and the self-sufficient associations, locals and departamentals, that during more than two hundred years were to charge of the hygienic and social problems as the leprosy in hospitals of charity knew as "leper colonies". Key words: Leper, leper colonies, disability, handicapes-ES
