dc.description.abstractEl manejo integral de los residuos sólidos tiene el objetivo de minimizar el impacto ambiental generado por las distintas actividades humanas. A nivel departamental, Santander cuenta con campañas de educación ambiental donde el 57% de los participantes son las instituciones educativas; estas campañas buscan concientización ambiental y es un indicio de pensamiento sostenible por parte de la comunidad. Sin embargo, se demostró que estas políticas no han contribuido a mitigar el impacto ambiental generado por las actividades de las comunidades educativas y consecuentemente no existen programas que promuevan la sostenibilidad en las instituciones educativas santandereanas. Los colegios son instituciones cuya responsabilidad radica en la formación y concientización de hábitos en los seres humanos. Por tal motivo, es importante formar hábitos ambientalmente amigables desde una temprana edad, ya que estos niños y niñas son los hombres y mujeres del futuro, el cual debe hacer frente a todas las consecuencias de nuestro actuar poco ecológico. El Colegio San Pedro Claver es una institución educativa de Bucaramanga, perteneciente a la Compañía de Jesús inspirada en la espiritualidad de San Ignacio de Loyola, que busca la formación de hombres y mujeres líderes para los demás y con los demás, que respondan con actitudes y hechos al momento histórico actual. Es una institución que se caracteriza por la formación integral de sus estudiantes. Esto también conlleva a la formación de una conciencia ecológica de sus estudiantes para así garantizar un impacto en la sociedad
dc.description.abstractenglishThe integral management of solid waste has the objective of minimizing the environmental impact generated by the different human activities.
