dc.descriptionRESUMEN En las experiencias de formación en línea ofrecidas desde el Centro para el Desarrollo de la Docencia en la Universidad Industrial de Santander – CEDEDUIS, durante el período 2002-2008, se ha observado que no se han obtenido los resultados esperados en relación con el desarrollo de competencias para el trabajo colaborativo, la resolución de problemas, la argumentación lógica, la escritura clara y coherente de textos, y el desarrollo de actitudes y valores que ponen en evidencia la ética, la tolerancia y la responsabilidad, que caracterizan a todo miembro de una comunidad académica.Por lo expuesto en el párrafo anterior, el colectivo docente del CEDEDUIS, decidió abrir un espacio de investigación evaluativa para verificar la eficacia, eficiencia y efectividad de las estrategias de enseñanza, aprendizaje y evaluación utilizadas en las experiencias de educación en línea, que se han venido ofreciendo en el CEDEDUIS desde el 2002, pues se considera que es un momento propicio para conocer, comprender y transformar las prácticas relacionadas con experiencias de enseñanza y aprendizaje en línea. En este sentido, la pregunta orientadora del trabajo de investigación es ¿cuál es la eficacia, eficiencia y efectividad de las estrategias de enseñanza, aprendizaje y evaluación que se han utilizado en las experiencias de educación en línea desarrolladas desde el CEDEDUIS?Este artículo contiene la descripción del marco teórico, los objetivos, la metodología, la discusión de los resultados de la investigación, las conclusiones y perspectivas derivadas del trabajo. Palabras clave: investigación evaluativa, eficacia, eficiencia, efectividad, educación en línea, estrategias de enseñanza, aprendizaje y evaluación.ABSTRACT The experiences of online instruction offered by the Center for the Development of Teaching at the Industrial University of Santander – CEDEDUIS, during the period 2002-2007, have not produced the expected results. These results relate to the development of competences necessary to work in a collaborative environment, solve problems, argument logically, write in a clear and coherent manner; as well as, the development of attitudes and values which characterize every member of an academic community, such as: ethics, tolerance and responsibility.Therefore, the CEDEDUIS faculty decided to open an evaluative research to verify the efficacy, efficiency and effectiveness of the processes of teaching, learning and assessment used in the online education that has been offered by CEDEDUIS since 2002. This is an appropriate moment to know, understand and transform the practices related to online learning and teaching experiences. In this sense, this project’s guiding question is: what is the efficacy, efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching, learning and assessment strategies that have been used in the online education experiences developed by CEDEDUIS?This article contains the description of the theoretical framework, objectives, methodology, discussion of the results obtained, conclusions and perspectives derived from the research. Key words: evaluative research, efficacy, efficiency, effectiveness, online education, teaching, learning and assessment strategies.es-ES
