SíntesisLa forma de diálogo entre un historiador y un filósofo que se ha dado a este texto sobre los supuestos de la historiografía tiene un propósito pedagógico y uno crítico: por una parte, divulgar entre los estudiantes de los programas de historia la difícil meditación de Martín Heidegger sobre la ciencia histórica y la historia y, por la otra, criticar algunas ideas del manual universitario que sobre teoría y método de la historia ha publicado recientemente el profesor español Julio Aróstegui. La originalidad de este texto radica, entonces, en el interés que pueda suscitar por la recepción del pensamiento del más importante filósofo europeo de este siglo.
