dc.description.abstractEste trabajo presenta un análisis de los aspectos claves a evaluar en el momento de diseñar e implementar un Repositorio Institucional. Se han analizado las teorías y conceptos que se requieren aplicar para la definición de las directrices de diseño y organización de comunidades, colecciones y contenido, así como también, aquellas relacionadas con las políticas a establecer en las instituciones que deciden implementar estos sistemas de información relacionadas con los autores, los beneficios, el flujo de trabajo, los derechos de autor y los metadatos. De igual forma se presenta un análisis técnico sobre el software disponible en el mercado y de acceso abierto para la implementación de este tipo de herramientas y se realiza una comparación inicial con el fin de definir la más indicada para el montaje del repositorio institucional de la universidad industrial de Santander. En este trabajo se han analizado varios factores en el curso de la ejecución del Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, la formulación de algunas directrices que se adapten a la misión institucional y la identidad, y que tiene como objetivo alcanzar las metas que los repositorios están destinados a tener. Es importante aclarar que este estudio no representa las políticas o decisiones institucionales para el montaje del repositorio, solo es un documento base para el inicio del diseño del sistema y la presentación inicial de esta propuesta ante el consejo académico de la universidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis paper presents the analysis of the key aspects to evaluate when designing and implementing an institutional repository. We have analyzed the theories and concepts that are required to apply for the definition of design guidelines and organization of communities, collections and content, as well as those related to the policies established in the institutions that decide to implement these information systems related the authors, benefits, workflow, copyright and metadata. In the same way, technical analysis software available in the market and open access to the implementation of these tools and performs the initial comparison to define the most suitable for the assembly of the Repository of the Universidad Industrial de Santander In this paper we have analyzed several factors in the course of the implementation of the Institutional Repository of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, the formulation of some guidelines that fit the institutional mission and identity, and aims to achieve the goals that repositories are intended to have. It is important to note that this study does not represent the policies or institutional decision to mount the repository, just a document for the start of system design and initial submission of this proposal to the academic council of the university
