dc.description.abstractCon el advenimiento de nuevas técnicas quirúrgicas los procedimientos fuera de salas de cirugía que requieren de un anestesiólogo han venido en aumento significativo. Ha crecido el interés por la satisfacción global de los pacientes a quienes se le ha dado anestesia. Dentro de las escalas de evaluación de la satisfacción se destaca la Escala Iowa Satisfaction with Anesthesia Scale (ISAS), la cual se encuentra traducida y validada lingüística y transculturalmente en Colombia. Se evaluó el rendimiento de la escala ISAS en la satisfacción de los pacientes llevados a anestesia fuera de quirófano (AFQ). Se realizó un estudio analítico tipo corte transversal, en procedimientos de AFQ, en los servicios de gastroenterología, radiología y radiología intervencionista de un hospital universitario de tercer nivel en Bucaramanga. Se incluyeron 145 pacientes quienes respondieron la escala ISAS en su versión validada al español en el periodo postoperatorio inmediato y en un tiempo no mayor a 2 horas después del procedimiento. Se recolectaron datos de 145 pacientes que recibieron en su totalidad sedación, la mayoría en el servicio de gastroenterología 92%. El 100% respondió en totalidad la escala ISAS. Se encontró una fiabilidad buena dada por un alfa de Cronbach de 0,76 en esta población de AFQ. Se hizo un análisis del coeficiente de correlación de Pearson entre el resultado promedio de cada pregunta de la escala con la respuesta a la pregunta Nº2 “Me gustaría recibir la misma anestesia otra vez” con evidencia en las preguntas de carácter positivo una validez convergente buena, datos que concuerdan con el correlograma. El 95,17% se clasifico como “totalmente satisfecho” con la anestesia recibida, el medicamento más usado por los anestesiólogos fue el propofol en un 93%. Se puede decir que la escala ISAS en los pacientes AFQ se puede usar para medir satisfacción de la anestesia.
dc.description.abstractenglishWith the advent of new surgical techniques, procedures outside of operating rooms that require an anesthesiologist have significantly increased. Interest in the overall satisfaction of patients who have been given anesthesia has grown. Among the scales used to evaluate satisfaction, the Iowa Satisfaction with Anesthesia Scale (ISAS) stands out, which has been linguistically and transculturally translated and validated in Colombia. The performance of the ISAS scale in the satisfaction of patients taken to anesthesia outside the operating room (AFQ) was evaluated. A cross-sectional analytical study was conducted on AFQ procedures in the gastroenterology, radiology, and interventional radiology services of a tertiary university hospital in Bucaramanga. A total of 145 patients were included, who answered the ISAS scale in its validated Spanish version in the immediate postoperative period and within no more than 2 hours after the procedure. Data were collected from 145 patients who received sedation in full, with the majority in the gastroenterology service (92%). 100% of the patients fully answered the ISAS scale. Good reliability was found, given by a Cronbach's alpha of 0.76 in this AFQ population. An analysis of the Pearson correlation coefficient was performed between the average result of each question on the scale and the response to question #2 "I would like to receive the same anesthesia again", with evidence of good convergent validity in positive character questions, data that agree with the correlogram. 95.17% were classified as "completely satisfied" with the anesthesia received, and the most commonly used drug by anesthesiologists was propofol at 93%. It can be said that the ISAS scale in AFQ patients can be used to measure anesthesia satisfaction.
