dc.descriptionRESUMENEste ensayo tiene la intención de hacer una reflexión analítica y crítica del proceso de transición política en México. El punto de partida es una recuperación teórica de las principales corrientes que explican el proceso de cambio político de la llamada “Tercera Ola Democrática”, haciendo una crítica a partir de la experiencia mexicana, ya que este país fue uno de los incluidos en esta escuela de pensamiento politológico, y el análisis concluye en que este enfoque parte de una visión muy normativa de la idea de Democracia, por lo que se tienen que construir nuevas formas de interpretación politológica a este concepto, tomando en cuenta las experiencias de democracias “inconclusas” o “defectuosas”, ya que el proceso de cambio político en el país se centró exclusivamente a los aspectos institucionales, pero no se tocaron las dinámicas necesarias para transformar la cultura política y las prácticas sociales, razón por la cual se torna necesario construir estrategias e instituciones que posibiliten el cambio de valores sociales que ayuden a construir y a enraizar prácticas democráticas en México.Palabras clave: democracia, autoritarismo, cambio político, democracias defectuosas.Palabras clave: democracia, autoritarismo, cambio político, democracias defectuosas.es-ES
dc.descriptionABSTRACTThis essay attempts to make an analytical and critical analysis of the process of political transition in Mexico. The starting point is a theoretical framework of the main currents that explain the process of political change in the so-called “Third Wave of Democracy”, analyzing the Mexican experience, since this country was one of those included in this Political Science school of thought, and the analysis concludes with an approach of a very normative idea of democracy. The main idea is that new ways of using the concepts of political science must be built, taking into account the experiences of unfinished or “faulty” democracies because the process of political change in the country focused exclusively on the institutional aspects, but did not take into account the dynamics needed to transform the political culture and social practices. In Mexico, it is necessary to build strategies and institutions that facilitate the changing social values that help build and entrench democratic practices.Key words: democracy, authoritarism, political change, defective democracy.en-US
