Actitudes hacia la muerte asociadas al temor y miedo en los profesionales de medicina y enfermería del Hospital Universitario de Santander

| dc.description.abstract | Actitudes y miedo hacia la muerte en el personal asistencial consiste en un proyecto de investigación en el cual se desarrolló una recopilación de diferentes teorías filosóficas y psicológicas que enriquecen la tanatología, a partir del cual se diseñó y ejecutó un estudio cuyo objetivo fue el Identificar la asociación entre las actitudes hacia a la muerte y el temor y miedo en los profesionales de medicina y enfermería del Hospital Universitario de Santander Para el cumplimiento de dicho objetivo, se seleccionó por conveniencia una muestra de 34 personas (médicos y enfermeras) de dicha institución a la cual le fueron aplicados dos instrumentos de medición: Perfil revisado de actitudes hacia la muerte y la escala de miedo hacia la muerte de Collet-Lester, los datos arrojados por esta aplicación fueron analizados a través del programa estadístico SPSS, con una media de 5.3 la actitud que más se presenta con mayor prevalencia es la Aceptación Neutral, es decir, los médicos y enfermeras aceptan la muerte como un suceso biológico en el cual se terminan las funciones vitales y con ellas finaliza la existencia Por otro lado la población estudiada manifiesta sentir principalmente algo de inquietud y/o ansiedad frente al propio proceso de morir (promedio de 3,39) es decir, aquella que implica la degeneración física y/o el dolor unido al proceso de morir. Teniendo en cuenta la naturaleza de las variables (intervalo), con base en el coeficiente de correlación r de Perrazo, se observó que el nivel de asociación entre las variables estudiadas es débil por cuanto las puntuaciones de dichas asociaciones oscilan entre Œ 0,64 y 0,28. Sin embargo es de anotar que los niveles de significancia de dichas asociaciones son bajos, lo cual aumenta la probabilidad de error en cuanto al resultado de las asociaciones. A partir de lo anterior se aprobó la Hipótesis Nula (Ho) la cual establece que no existe asociación entre las actitudes hacia la muerte y el miedo y temor frente a la muerte en los profesionales de medicina y enfermería del Hospital Universitario de Santander. | |

Having in it(he,she) counts(tells) the nature of the variables (interval), with base in the coefficient of correlation r of Perrazo, was observed that the level of association between(among) the studied variables is weak since the punctuations of the above mentioned associations range between(among) - 0,64 and 0,28. Nevertheless it (he, she) is of annotating that the levels of significancy of the above mentioned associations are low, which increases the probability of mistake as for the result of the associations.
