dc.description.abstractEste trabajo plasma el estudio de la migración de la actual infraestructura de la red de telefonía IP (VoIP) de la UIS (Universidad Industrial de Santander), a una nueva y mejorada infraestructura, la cual está basada en la tecnología ofrecida por Avaya (Proveedor encargado de la tecnología actual) y se transmiten las experiencias que surgen a través de dicho estudio, las cuales, son útiles en un futuro sistema de gestión de conocimiento para la División de Servicios de Información de la UIS. Es así, como se resume de manera práctica y completa la identificación y estructuración de las necesidades de los usuarios en la actual tecnología que darán pie a la migración de una nueva tecnología, permitiendo conocer los aspectos más relevantes acerca de la red actual desde la arquitectura y los requisitos que deben ser cumplidos. La investigación realizada tiene dos alcances: exploratorio y descriptivo. El estudio exploratorio consiste en efectuar una profundización teórica de la tecnología actual de transmisión de voz sobre IP de la UIS que permita determinar las arquitecturas, equipamientos y protocolos utilizados en su implementación. Y el estudio descriptivo que consiste en realizar un documento que muestre las especificaciones técnicas y arquitectónicas de la posible nueva tecnología a implementar. Los resultados arrojados en este estudio conllevan a una posterior migración de la plataforma de voz y datos de la UIS con una estructura moderna, eficiente, que permita la convivencia de la información y supla las necesidades de comunicación de los usuarios.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work embodies the study of the migration of the current network infrastructure to IP telephony (VoIP) UIS (Industrial University of Santander), a new and improved infrastructure, which is based on technology provided by Avaya (Supplier responsible for current technology) and the experiences that arise through the study, which are useful in future knowledge management system for the Information Services Division of UIS transmitted. Thus, as summarized in a practical way and complete the identification and structuring of user needs in the current technology that will give rise to the migration of new technology, allowing to know the most important aspects about the current network from architecture and requirements that must be met. The research has two scopes: exploratory and descriptive. The exploratory study is to perform a theoretical study of the current technology of voice over IP in order to establish the UIS architectures, equipment and protocols used in its implementation. And the descriptive study is to produce a document that shows the technical and architectural specifications of the new technology can be implemented. The results obtained in this study lead to a subsequent migration of data and voice platform of UIS, efficient, modern structure that allows the coexistence of information and communication meets the needs of users.
