The oil industry has been developing technologies for the exploitation of unconventional reservoirs, which recently have emerged as a new global energy alternative; hydraulic fracturing is one of the techniques implemented to facilitate the extraction of hydrocarbons. This technique allows generating a highly conductive canal is further supported by a proppant materials (proppant), designed to ensure an efficient flow of fluids from the formation into the wellbore through the fracture. However it is important to consider that the proppant is being continually subjected to stress variations in the reservoir, and that despite its properties is imminently likely to suffer rupture. Giving way to the generation and migration of fines that reduce fracture conductivity and therefore part of the benefits provided by hydraulic fracturing are lost. In this work is obtained an evaluation of effect of the loss of fracture conductivity associated with the proppant Crushing on productivity of a shale gas reservoir and is emphasized the importance of considering the phenomenon as the Crushing and Embedment when designing a hydraulic fracturing. The results for this valuation are obtained by numerical simulation modeling the behavior of production over time in this type of reservoirs and at the same time is evaluated to what extent degradation affects proppant well production.
