dc.description.abstractenglish | For this investigation, the polymer coating systems examined were a zinc epoxy phosphate primer, an epoxy polyamide barrier and an enamel that changed based on the system (S1: Polyurethane, S4: Polysiloxane, S7: Polyaspartic). The test tubes went through accelerated chamber corrosion tests (saline and acid) for 2000 hours at intervals of 500 and 2400 hours in intervals of 600 respectively. Each test was done using the procedures described by the ASTM standards. The tests used were: visual inspection, cathodic detachment and electrochemical impedance, which allow us to evaluate the physical changes of the coatings occurred in the exposure time intervals and their resistance to corrosion. Each test was done using the procedures described by the ASTM standards. The tests used were: visual inspection, cathodic detachment and electrochemical impedance, which allow us to evaluate the physical changes of the coatings occurred in the exposure time intervals and their resistance to corrosion.Through these tests it was established that the systems that used polysiloxane and polyaspartic enamel provided an adequate protection to the metallic substrate of carbon steel type A-36 in which they were applied. At the end of the tests, the SEM (scanning electron spectroscopy) techniques were performed at 2000 hours to deliver morphological information and the XRD (lightning diffraction technique) in order to identify the corrosive products that have the greatest impact on the degradation of polymeric systems. These were magnetite (𝐹𝑒3𝑂4) and Goethite 𝐹𝑒𝑂(𝑂𝐻).
