En este artículo se presenta de forma breve la historia de los 90 años (1930-2020) del Partido Comunista Colombiano (PCC) en la ciudad de Barrancabermeja, Magdalena Medio, incluyendo los antecedentes en la década de los años 20, correspondientes a la acción del Partido Socialista Revolucionario (PSR) y la conformación de la Unión Sindical Obrera (USO). De allí en adelante, se expone la vinculación activa del PCC en las huelgas obreras de los trabajadores del enclave petrolero, la lucha por la exigibilidad de mejores condiciones laborales en distintos frentes de trabajo; la lucha por garantías para una vida digna, que incluyeron acciones tales como paros cívicos para el acceso a servicios públicos y conformación de barrios populares en el nororiente de la ciudad, la unidad de acción entre el movimiento obrero y campesino del Magdalena Medio y, la resistencia ante el plan de exterminio ejecutado por el paramilitarismo producto de las políticas anticomunistas del Estado Colombiano.
This article briefly presents the history of the 90 years (1930-2020) of the Partido Comunista Colombiano (PCC) in the city of Barrancabermeja, Magdalena Medio, including the background in the 1920s, corresponding to the action of the Partido Socialista Revolucionario (PSR) and the formation of the Unión Sindical Obrera (USO). Thereafter, the active involvement of the PCC in the workers' strikes of the oil enclave workers is exposed; the struggle for guarantees for a dignified life, which included actions such as civic strikes for access to public services and the creation of popular neighborhoods in the northeast of the city; unity of action between the workers' and peasants' movement in the Magdalena Medio; and, resistance to the extermination plan executed by paramilitarism as a result of the anti-communist policies of the Colombian State.
