dc.descriptionThis article describes the design and implementation of a software application for the use of the HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) protocol of industrial communications; although this protocol is one of the most widely used in the world, there are very few publications in Colombia about the software design fundamentals in this genre. The HART application was conceived as a solution to academic purposes with industrial perspective, that gives the user possibilities of reading and configuring intelligent field devices, with a friendly graphical environment, structured in levels, that support lectures of process variables in real time and provides the user with details of transaction; also, this article shows the HART protocol generalities in its structure and applications. en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo describe el diseño e implementación de una aplicación software para el uso del protocolo HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) de comunicaciones industriales. Aunque dicho protocolo es uno de los más utilizados en el mundo, son muy pocas las publicaciones en Colombia acerca de los fundamentos de diseño software en este género. La aplicación HART fue concebida como una solución con propósitos académicos y con perspectiva industrial que brinda al usuario la posibilidad de leer y configurar dispositivos de campo inteligentes, en un ambiente gráfico agradable, estructurado en clases, que soporta lectura de variables de proceso en tiempo real y suministra al usuario información detallada de cada una de las transacciones realizadas; en este artículo también se muestra las generalidades del protocolo HART en su estructura funcional y sus aplicaciones.es-ES
