dc.description  The occurrence of pseudotachylites associated with cataclasites found in "pressure backs" constituted by rocks related to the Bucaramanga Gneiss, developed in the transpressive segments of the Bucaramanga Faults System (BFS) Relief demonstrates the paleoseismic character of this one to the Northeast of the Municipality of Pailitas - Cesar Department, Colombia.  The pseudotachylites are characterized to appear as injection, cataclastic and fault veins, petrographycally conformed by lithic clasts, fine grain matrix, optically observable grains and amygdales. The origin from melting for the pseudotachylites is suggested by the textures of the veins, which are characterized to display cooling margins, injection veins, macroscopic and microscopic flow bands, biotite microlites in veins, plagioclase microlites of albitic composition, "glass plate" type fractures, potassium feldspar and plagioclase deformation, and cleared, corroded and concave edges; potassium feldspar and quartz recrystallized; lithics clasts wrapped by the matrix and amygdales.   Keywords: Pseudotachylites, Bucaramanga Faults System, Paleoseismic character, Eastern Cordillera, Colombia.en-US
dc.descriptionLa ocurrencia de pseudotaquilitas asociadas con cataclasitas encontradas en "lomos de presión" constituidos por rocas relacionadas con el Neis de Bucaramanga, desarrollados en algunos segmentos transpresivos del Sistema de Fallas Bucaramanga (SFB) evidencian el carácter paleosísmico del SFB al Noreste del Municipio de Pailitas, Departamento del Cesar, Colombia. Las pseudotaquilitas se caracterizan por presentarse como venas de falla, de inyección y cataclásticas, petrográfcamente conformadas por clastos líticos, matriz de grano fno, granos reconocibles ópticamente y amigdulas. El origen a partir de un fundido para las pseudotaquilitas está sugerido por las texturas de las venas, las cuales se caracterizan por presentarse como venas de inyección con márgenes de enfriamiento, bandas de fujo macroscópico y microscópico, microlitos de biotita en venas, microlitos de plagioclasa de composición albítica, fracturas tipo "placa de vidrio", deformación en feldespato potásico y plagioclasa, bordes corroídos, cóncavos y redondeados; feldespato potásico y cuarzo recristalizado; clastos líticos embebidos por la matriz y amigdulas.  Palabras Claves: Pseudotaquilitas, Sistema de Fallas de Bucaramanga, Carácter paleosísmico, Cordillera Oriental, Colombia.   es-ES
