dc.descriptionOne of the topics less explored in Adam Smith’s work is the education. Taking an excerpt from The Wealth of Nations as a point of start, the present essay wants to explore his thoughts about this question, as the part concerned to education of youth instruction and of people of all ages, making an emphasis on the sempiternal principles defended by Smith, like the liberty, autonomy, the incentives and stimulus, the relations between the individual and society and its feedback, all that is base of citizenship education. In addition, it analyzes the role of religion as a guide of the people, and the necessity of the State to make an influence over it, influences it instead of controls it or directs it, with the purpose to avoid the religious speech darks or threats the stability of a nation.en-US
dc.descriptionUno de los temas menos explorados en la obra de Adam Smith es la educación. Tomando como inicio un aparte de su libro La riqueza de las naciones, el presente trabajo se propone explorar sus reflexiones acerca de esta cuestión, tanto en la parte dirigida a la juventud como a la del público en general, haciendo énfasis en los principios siempre defendidos por Smith, como lo son: la libertad, la autonomía, los incentivos y estímulos, las relaciones entre el individuo y la comunidad y su retroalimentación, que son la base de una educación ciudadana útil a la sociedad. De igual forma, se analiza el papel de la religión como orientadora de los pueblos, y la necesidad que tiene el Estado de influir en ella sin llegar a controlarla o dirigirla, para que la difusión religiosa no opaque o amenace la estabilidad de una nación. es-ES
