dc.descriptionEl agua proveniente de pozos de gas tiene un alto grado de toxicidad al igual que el agua asociada a pozos de petróleo. En este artículo se muestra una relación de los contaminantes asociados al agua de producción provenientes de campos de gas y los posibles impactos ambientales ocasionados por su vertimiento al océano. Igualmente, se mencionan las distintas regulaciones internacionales que rigen el vertimiento del agua de producción al mar y las tecnologías que se han desarrollado para la remoción de los contaminantes. Como resultado del estudio se muestran algunos sistemas de tratamiento de agua avanzado aplicados a campos de gas que podrían reducir el impacto ambiental en los ecosistemas marinos del Caribe Colombiano.es-ES
dc.descriptionWater from gas and oil fields has a high grade of toxicity. This article shows a list of the contaminants associated with the production water from gas fields and the possible environmental impacts caused by their discarding into the ocean. Also, the different international regulations governing the discarding of production water to the sea and the technologies that have been developed for the removal of pollutants are mentioned. The results of the study show some advanced water treatment systems applied to gas fields that could reduce the environmental impact on the marine ecosystems of the Colombian Caribbean.en-US
