| dc.description.abstract | La siguiente monografía presenta algunos de los aspectos más significativos que toman lugar en el aprendizaje del Inglés. Además, se hace una reflexión acerca del papel del docente y su labor mediadora como creador de estrategias de enseñanza y aprendizaje que le permitan al estudiante adquirir buenas competencias de lectura y escritura en una lengua extranjera. En el primer, se reflexiona acerca de los diferentes hechos que pueden interferir en el aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera en la universidad. Hechos que logran provocar que muchos de los estudiantes pierdan la motivación y la confianza en sí mismos y en sus profesores. Debido a esto, no es raro observar como muchos de los alumnos abandonan las clases, llevando al docente a hacer una evaluación de su labor en la enseñanza. Es muy normal encontrar problemas en el aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera, pero lo ideal es tener presente cualquier situación problemática que se pueda presentar, y trabajar en su solución. En el segundo capítulo se aborda el papel de la universidad en la sociedad y los nuevos retos que afronta para educar profesionales con sentido crítico y que trabajen por la comunidad. La universidad es parte fundamental de la sociedad de hoy en día, porque es un ingrediente básico para conformar los ciudadanos que se necesitan. Ciudadanos con un gran bagaje cultural y cognoscitivo, capaces de tomar las decisiones apropiadas y ayudar a construir el conocimiento. Además, se hace énfasis en la importancia que tiene la formación integral como medio para mejorar las condiciones de vida actuales que hacen indispensable una educación más equilibrada, tomando como principio el ser humano, visto desde la perspectiva de aprendiz único y distinto, que participa y se hace responsable de su propio aprendizaje. El tercer y último capítulo se hace una reflexión acerca de la importancia de la lectura y la escritura en la enseñanza del Inglés y se hace una propuesta de aula cuyo objetivo es mejorar el aprendizaje de los alumnos e implementar diferentes estrategias de enseñanza, que no solo beneficien al educando, sino al docente en su hermosa labor de mediar el aprendizaje. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The following paper presents some of the most significant aspects that take place in learning English. Moreover, the role of the teacher is seen as a reflection of his mediating work which is very important at the moment to create some teaching and learning strategies. These strategies allow students to acquire good reading and writing competences in a foreign language. In the opening chapter, there is a reflection about the different facts that can interfere in foreign language learning in the university. These facts provoke that many students lose motivation and self- confidence. This also affects the relationship that exists between teachers and students. Because of this, it is not weird to observe students who drop out of English classes, making teachers think about their work in education. It is very common to find some problems in foreign language learning, but it will be perfect to face any difficult situation and work to improve it. The second chapter tackles the role of the university in the society and the new challenges that it must face, in order to educate professionals who own a critical sense and work in favour of the community. Nowadays, the university is one of the most important parts of the society because it is a basic element to educate the citizens who are necessary in our society. They must be very cultured people, with a lot of knowledge and able to make accurate decisions. It also makes emphasis on the integral formation which is important to improve the current life conditions. In this way, it is necessary to create a different teaching environment where people are taken as unique human beings who participate and take the responsibility of his own learning. The third and last chapter is about the importance of reading and writing in the teaching of English as a foreign language. Furthermore, the paper takes into account a proposal for improving classroom English lessons whose objective is to enhance the students’ learning and create different teaching strategies that not only benefit students but also teachers and help them to continue in their beautiful work of mediating learning. | |
